    Use the email we invited you with to register at the app. Your invite is your login.

    About 30–60 minutes, on BOTH your phone and a laptop. Work through every scenario in order.

    Use Send Feedback inside the app (Profile → Send Feedback) for each issue you hit.

Before you start

  • Open the app at the URL we sent you.
  • Test on a mobile viewport (≈375×812, iPhone) and a desktop viewport (≈1280×800). Where a scenario says "mobile" or "desktop," run it that way; otherwise run both.
  • Make sure you're logged into the app. Scenario 1 walks you through creating your personal profile; Scenario 4 covers a business or church profile.
  • This is alpha — data may be reset, so don't rely on it for anything real yet.

Create your personal profile

  1. 1.After registering, open the app and complete onboarding (if shown).
  2. 2.Go to Profile. Tap Edit and set your first name, last name, avatar (upload a photo), bio, location, and at least 3 skills or interests. Save.
  3. 3.Confirm your avatar and name render correctly across Profile, Elex, and Messages.
  4. 4.In Notification Settings → Privacy, turn on 'show in search', then verify you appear in Discover → People.

Mobile tab bar + scroll persistence

Mobile4 steps
  1. 1.Open the app at Home on a phone-sized screen. Scroll the home feed down several screens.
  2. 2.Confirm a fixed bottom tab bar is visible and does not overlap content.
  3. 3.Tap Discover, scroll the directory, tap Feed, tap Home again. Each tab should restore its previous scroll position with no flicker.
  4. 4.Tap Profile, then Elex. Both render with the tab bar fixed and safe-area (notch/home indicator) spacing intact.

Bottom-sheet selects + pull-to-refresh

Mobile3 steps
  1. 1.Go to Discover and open a filter control (e.g. category or sort). It should slide up as a bottom-sheet, not a desktop dropdown.
  2. 2.Tap the backdrop outside the sheet. It dismisses cleanly with no leftover overlay.
  3. 3.From the top of the directory list, pull down and release. A pull-to-refresh indicator appears and the list reloads.

Create a business or church profile

  1. 1.From Profile → My Content, tap 'Add Business' (or 'Add Church') and open the create form.
  2. 2.Fill every required field (name, category, description, phone, address, website) plus add a logo and cover image. Save the draft.
  3. 3.Set the listing status to Active and confirm it appears in Discover under the matching category search/filter.
  4. 4.Open your new listing from Discover — confirm the header, contact card, services, and capability modules render with the data you entered.

Detail pages — loading + back navigation

  1. 1.From Discover, tap a Business card. A brief loading state shows, then the full profile renders (header, contact, services, capability modules).
  2. 2.Tap the mobile back button (top-left arrow). You return to Discover with your scroll position and filters intact.
  3. 3.Repeat for a Church, a Job, and a Listing detail — each loads fully and back returns to Discover without losing state.

Error states on Messages + Feed (no hang)

Both3 steps
  1. 1.Sign out (or disable network in devtools), then open Messages. You should see a 'Couldn't load your messages' card with a Retry button — not an infinite spinner.
  2. 2.Restore auth/network and tap Retry. Threads load successfully.
  3. 3.Repeat for the Intelligence Feed (/feed) — expect 'Couldn't load your feed' + Retry, which reloads once restored.

Empty states

  1. 1.As a brand-new (or data-cleared) user, open Messages — friendly 'No messages yet / Start a conversation…' state.
  2. 2.Open the Intelligence Feed — 'No insights yet' state; if no fresh insights exist, Elex generates and populates without crashing.
  3. 3.Open Notifications — 'No notifications yet' state.
  4. 4.Open Profile — profile shell renders with empty sections for content/following (no broken empty lists).

SEO metadata + JSON-LD on detail pages

Desktop3 steps
  1. 1.Open a Job detail page. In DevTools → Elements → <head>, confirm <title>, meta description, og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, canonical link, and a JobPosting JSON-LD <script> are present and correct.
  2. 2.Repeat for a Listing (Product schema), a Business (LocalBusiness), a Church (Place/Church), and a Blog post (Article).
  3. 3.Navigate back to Discover, then Home. Confirm the previous page's injected JSON-LD script is removed on unmount (no stacking).

Sitemap

Desktop3 steps
  1. 1.GET /sitemap.xml in a browser or curl. Confirm HTTP 200 with Content-Type: application/xml and a valid <urlset> listing /, /discover, /about, /how-it-works, /faq, /blog, plus business/church/job/listing detail URLs and blog slug URLs.
  2. 2.Open 2–3 of the listed detail URLs. Each resolves to a real, fully-rendered page (not a 404/blank).
  3. 3.Confirm the <loc> host matches the live production domain; flag if it differs.

Share link unfurl

  1. 1.Copy a Business detail URL.
  2. 2.Paste it into an OpenGraph preview tool (opengraph.xyz, socialpreview, or Slack).
  3. 3.Confirm the correct title, description, and preview image render for the unfurled card.

How to report feedback

Inside the app, go to Profile → Send Feedback for each issue you hit. If you can't get in or the app is down, use the backup Google Form linked in your invite email. For each failure, include:
